IOVA began her musical journey at 11, taking piano and guitar lessons. By 13, she formed her first rock band and started writing songs. After joining LaLa Band, she moved to Bucharest to pursue her music career.

Her big break came when she sent a demo to Smiley, who recognized her talent. “IOVA is a complex artist, always engaged in the creation process. She had a portfolio of her songs when she joined HaHaHa Production, showcasing her diverse musical style,” Smiley remarked.

IOVA released her debut single, “Be Like Water,” an electro-pop track supported by HaHaHa Production. This was followed by successful songs like “Down on my Knees” (featuring Paul Damixie), “North,” “Work It Out,” and “Hit the Gas.” She continued to release music, including “Break the Law” and collaborations with Paul Damixie.

The song “Who Are You” by Henri PFR and IOVA was featured in two editions of Tomorrowland, becoming IOVA’s most well-known track alongside “The Art of Losing Control,” “In a Grave,” and “Still Love You.”
